RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process through which interested adults and older children are gradually introduced to the Roman Catholic faith and way of life. Working your way through your thoughts and doubts until you are finally baptised and become a Catholic is not the end, but very much a new beginning. A lot of help and support can be needed in the early stages of life as a Catholic. In both these periods of life the Parish RCIA team try to give whatever is needed in this journey of faith. Maybe you are fairly new to the Catholic faith, or maybe you are settled and confortable in your life as a Catholic and would like to offer some help to parishioners who are still on that journey.
Do get in touch, through the Parish Office
The Archdiocesan Safeguarding Department aims to protect children and vulnerable adults from abuse by anyone who works for the Church on a professional or voluntary basis. In our parish this work is done by Rose Moffat and Fiona Lyons. Anyone with knowledge, suspicion or worry about such abuse should contact them, through the Parish Office, or you can phone the Archdiocesan office on 0151 522 1043 or email them.

Their regular tasks in the parish involve CRB checking of anyone who would like to help in activities such as our youth clubs, children's church or any activity which involves visiting people in their homes.
Scripture Group
Each Wednesday at 9.30 am we have Morning Prayer in Church when we pray, meditate and break open the scripture together. It is truly wonderful to see what effect the ancient texts have on individuals as a community. Everyone is welcome to come and join us.
